General FAQs
How much do I have to pay for signing up?
There's an $800 onboarding fee required to get your project started. This covers our initial in-depth strategy which includes keyword research, competition research as well as a deep dive discovery call with you.
What happens after I sign up?
We'll send you an agreement as well as an invoice for your onboarding fee and once paid, we'll setup an onboarding call where we can go in-depth about your business, gather any login details and collect your credit card details.
Do I need to give you my credit card?
Yes, we create recurring invoices based on the number of payments for websites and/or the monthly amount for SEO services. You'll also receive an invoice automatically each month.
What happens if payments fail?
If a payment is declined, we will contact you to let you know and resolve the issue as easily as possible. In the event you're not reachable, it could mean the deletion of your website if there's no contact or if the issue is not resolved.
Do I have to sign a contract?
We don't believe in long-term contracts. You may cancel SEO services at anytime.
For websites, there is an agreement in place with regards to the payment plan agreed on. More details regarding our refund and cancellation policy is below.
What is your refund & cancellation policy?
You may cancel at anytime. there is no contracts with the exception of website payment plans.
If you decide to cancel your website and want to keep it, the remaining balance owing becomes due immediatly and we'll charge a nominal fee for moving the site into your own hosting account where you'll be responsible for hosting and any other fees related to your website.
If you do not want to keep your website, 50% of the remaining balance is due immediately. Once paid, we will delete your website.
What happens if I choose to cancel?
We'd be very sorry to see you go, however, because we don't have any long-term contracts, you are free to cancel at anytime.
If there's any monthly payments outstanding, those will need to be paid up before anything else happens.
After you cancel, your website will be moved over to your own account or hosting provider. If you would like us to migrate your site, there will be a nominal fee charged.
Do you work with franchises?
Yes, The Business Growth Engine works exceptionally well for franchises and will help to improve every one of your franchisee's Google Business Profile ranking.
In addition, based on your franchise model, we can design a marketing program for your franchisee's that can add an additional stream of revenue to your head office.

Can you build me only a website?
Yes, If you're not looking for online marketing at the moment and just need a new website, we can certainly help with that. We invite you chat with us and tell us about what you're looking for and we can discuss it more detail and offer some ideas and suggestions accordingly.
Do I have to provide content for my website?
No, we'll take care of writing all the needed content for you. It's all included in the quote we provide you.
Can you build my site and then host it elsewhere?
No, not until the website is paid in full. Once the website is paid in full, The account can be moved into your name or migrated to your hosting provider of your choice for a nominal fee.
If we are providing SEO Services for you, then we will continue to host and maintain the site for $150 / month. This cost includes hosting and maintenance of the site. It's important that the site is on an appropriate server and allows us to properly maintain it and deal with any possible issues that may arise.

How do I know what you've done every month?
Every month we provide a detailed monthly report that details the tasks we've completed along with the number of credits used for each task.
In addition, inside the report will be a link to a dashboard that displays your analytics like impressions, visitors and more. This will help you to see the growth and progress resulting from the tasks we've completed.
How long will I need to keep investing in SEO?
SEO is more like a marathon than a sprint. It’s an ongoing process because search algorithms and competitors are always changing. Ideally, you should view SEO as a continuing investment for as long as it’s delivering a positive ROI (and we aim to make sure it does). If you’re seeing good returns, it makes sense to keep going. Some businesses even increase their SEO budget once they see it working.
Stopping SEO isn’t immediately catastrophic; you won’t vanish from Google overnight. But if you stop and your competitors keep working on their SEO, they will eventually outrank you. In short, you don’t “set and forget” SEO. Continual effort equals sustained (and often growing) results.
How long does it take to rank my Google Business Profile (Google Maps listing)?
Getting that coveted top-3 spot on Google Maps (the local 3-pack) is a huge win, and we work to get you there as soon as possible. Often, you’ll start to see your Google Business Profile climbing in rank in the very first month of our work.
For businesses in a less crowded market, it’s realistic to aim for top results in about 3 months or so, whereas in more competitive cities or industries it might take up to 6 months to secure a top-three position.
One of the biggest factors in speeding this up is your review profile. Businesses that can consistently generate authentic 5-star reviews have a much easier time rising to the top. We’ll help put a review generation system in place (and guide you on how to use it), but your involvement in asking happy customers for reviews will be key.
With a strong review stream and our optimization, you should see steady growth in your Maps visibility month over month.
